Season 6 Anya (August 13, 2002) ~ I've been wanting to do a celebratory Anya piece for a while now, as she is the only character that made it through season 6 with her "likability" quotient unscathed (other than Tara of course, but she didn't exactly make it through...) And since a new ImagingBuffy challenge was issued for a favorite character last week, decided it was now or never. Might also submit it over at P2K, I think there's a "TV character" challenge on-going.

I tried to pick quotes that made sense without the rest of the conversation, though since a large part of the funny is delivery, I don't know if it'll make any sense to someone who hasn't actually seen the scenes referenced. The capture is from "All the Way", my favorite Anya hair of the season. This is actually the 3rd of 3 completely different versions, I struggled and struggled with this one, just couldn't get anything I even sorta liked until this version. And even this one I'm not completely satisfied with, but the rejected versions are making it look good, so I've decided I'm done...

I created the swoopy shapes by making a square and then distorting it with filter->distort->sheer. Duplicated it and rotated it and resized it to build the shapes. There's a inverted/colorized stock image of some stars used to created a bit of background texture. The main front is Onyx and the tiny font is my beloved Kroeger again. The little dotted lines were made by transforming a selection to a path, then stroking the path with "paintbrush", having previously selected a little dot brush with spacing of 200%.
