Natalie Merchant - Effigy (July 9, 2002) this is my first musical artist collage for a
Philedom2k's Pandemonium challenge, inspired by the song "Effigy", another Natalie Merchant song from the Ophelia album that's gradually snuck up on me (heard it a bunch before I realized how much I liked it). And *all* the lyrics from the song are on the collage, so you see it's kinda short! Once again, I couldn't resist Scriptina; I'm really going to have to find another swoopy pretty font! The images where gathered hitther-thither & yon, using Google's wonderful image search. I used a few stock images from my Big Box of Art (a sea-side picture, some stars, some ice crystals) The color was inspired by the little crouching-on-the-beach-in-a-party-dress picture from the left bottom corner. The largest 3 pictures started out black and white, so I decided to strip the color from the rest (except the little key picture). I used a path, stroked with a round brush at 150% spacing, to create the dotted swoop.
