April 8, 2001 ~ with the end of the AtS hiatus rapidly drawing nigh, I thought I'd squeeze at least one quick little piece of Angel art in here. I've always liked the idea of a vampire singing this song, which has always seemed more like a lullaby to me (ignoring the verses about the singer's darling going off to love another, of course!) and with the events of the last few Angel eps, it suddenly seemed very apropos. (Plus I just got a copy of the O Brother Where Art Thou CD!) The large background image is from Connor's birth in the rainy ally, and inspired the rainy/grainy look. The capture of Angel with the out-stretched hand is from when he's proving to Cordelia that he'll do whatever's necessary to protect Connor, including going out in the sun. And then the snuggly cap is from the end of Couplet, just after Wesley explains his jumping at Angel's entering with "I thought I was alone", and Angel replies "yeah, so did I", which is such a wonderful, meaningful little exchange, esp. considering the next thing we see is the camera panning down to "The Father will kill the son" in Wesley's translation notes. Brushes are from enfest.com and aircrash.nu. listen to a version of the song at mp3.com
